This was a project I started just by exploring the 8-bit / chip-tune style music that I find so charming and nostalgic. The more I worked on it, the more I became inspired to make this into more than just a concept album. I got in touch with a friend of mine who helped me flesh out a story line and some general character development. We ended up coming up with a game concept we were very excited about that is centered around a young girl moving away from her countryside home and into a new city, and focusing around her struggles and character growth as a result of this change. Unfortunately neither of really had time to jump on that fully at that point in our lives, so this project remains on hold until we get a chance to tackle it fully. I still managed to write a good amount of music in this style and I feel like this collection of songs exemplifies exactly what we were trying to do with this story.
